This subject was designed in order to lead future teachers through classroom research so that they are able to complete research on language teaching and learning. The prior related academic unit focused on the presentation and review of classroom research methodology, the design of a classroom research project, along with its corresponding data collection techniques and tools. This time, trainees will assess the project, and decide whether they have collected the field information necessary to prove or reject the hypotheses and overall aims thereby set. Whereas the advisor will supervise novice researchers’ work in content and language, the class professor will indicate what to do with the information collected in order that they are able to write the reports, and how to systematize the information, so they can come up with conclusions of scientific value.
In order for researchers in training to continue and complete their research paper, the class will take the form of individual advisories, once the research projects have been updated and presented before the class. When most trainees have information from at least one tool, the class will gather in order to be trained in ways to systematize the data, and to write the reports of different tools, namely, classroom observation, surveys, interviews, teacher’s diary, lesson planning, and pedagogical intervention, among others
